One of my patients gave me his season tickets to the Skeeters Baseball game for Sunday evening. He wasn't able to attend the game, and asked if I would want them. Skeeters is the new minor league baseball team based in Sugar Land. We didn't have any plans, so we decided to take advantage of the free tickets. My curiosity was peaked because my patient said how much fun these games were and how they were geared for kids. Our seats were great, and completely in the shade. It was actually pretty breezy and the temperature was very comfortable. Kind of felt like we were out of Houston for an evening. The game was a lot of fun. All the seats are really close to the field, and all the mascots around the Houston area are involved in the games, and do fun competitions after every inning. The stadium has a pool and a splash pad over looking the field, a really advanced play ground and even a carousal. Pretty fancy stadium if you ask me. We sat in our seats until around the 6th inning, and then headed over to let Dane play in the water for the last couple innings. Dane was in hog heaven. The boy loves playing in water. The stadium was just really cool how it was set up, so neat that you could sit and watch the game while your kids play in the splash pad. Once it started getting later in the evening Dane got a bit chilly so we got him changed and went back to our seats to finish watching the game. It was pretty exciting, tied score that went to extra innings. And then in the bottom of the 10th the Skeeters hit a home run to win the game. Great evening!
And because I'm officially addicted to instagram here are some pictures that I uploaded to that.
