Sea World

Time to wrap up spring break week. Yes, I'm still posting about spring break even though the boys have been back at school and work for a whole week now.  Sigh.

We were really wanting to get out of town, and just do something fun as a last hooray before the baby comes.  We thought about going to Galveston and going to the beach but the weather looked like it might be too chilly for Dane to play in the water.  Last minute we came up with the idea of Sea World. Even though it's an amusement park, and we knew there would be a lot of walking I knew that I would be able to rest during the shows and while the boys rode rides.  We found out that Sea World is doing a appreciation special for teachers where they can get in free for the rest of the year, so Kevin's ticket was free.  And then a friend got us the hook up and was able to get us employee discount tickets, so Dane and my tickets were 50% off.  Major score.
So Friday we took off for a mini weekend getaway.  I haven't been to Sea World since I was about 8 or 9.  We got up early and spent the day there, and then relaxed at a hotel afterwards.  It was the perfect getaway for our little family of 3.  I was a trooper, able to hang in there the entire day.  I did my fair share of walking, but also propping my feet up and resting while the boys stood in lines and rode rides.  My pelvis was killing me by the end of the day, and my feet and ankles were so swollen because I was an idiot and wore flip flops, but it was all so worth it.  We really had the best day.  Dane loved everything about Sea World.  The shows were great, and he loved the rides.  He kept telling us that "This is the best day ever".  The weather ended up being perfect, and it really wasn't that crowded.  A perfect way to end spring break.  I think Dane and Kevin had a great week off from school.  I was happy to be able to enjoy some of the spring break fun.
