Dane's school introduced the kids into different organizations that could be joined around the community. Cub Scouts, Football, Cheerleading, Dancing were just a few of the things that kids found out about. They really sold it to them, and Dane came home asking if he could do Cub Scouts. He has several friends in it, and all that was mentioned sounded like a lot of fun for him.
It has been great, and Dane is loving it! Especially all the activities that they get to participate in outside of the meetings.

All the scouts received a rocket that they had to assemble, and then we met at a big field to shoot them off. Jace kept finding chairs that weren't ours to sit in and claim. Hilarious. He had fun watching all the rockets being shot off. Dane thought it was a lot of fun, and he was beyond excited that his rocket went pretty high in the sky and wasn't a dud, as some unfortunately were.
Another event that was a blast for Dane was the Push Car Races. The kids were teamed up by their level in Cub Scouts and did multiple races against the others. Lots of teamwork had to happen to get these cars to the finish line.
This one is saying why can't these boys push that car straight. :)
He got sillier and sillier as the races went on. This was right smack dab in the middle of nap time. But, he was a trooper.
Kevin takes Dane to the scout meetings, and I would be lying if I said I knew what was happening in these pictures. HA! I think he was getting a patch that he was rewarded, but I'm not 100%. That's what happens when you wait so long to blog after the event took place...you forget the details.
