#wittschensbetrippin Day 1 & 2

The last couple of years we have taken little road trips around Texas.  We kind of carried on that tradition this summer, but this time we only made a couple of stops all in the San Antonio area. I'm hoping that we can venture out of Texas with our next family trip, but we will see.  We had plans to go to the J.W. Marriott resort for our little family vacation, but then decided that it would be fun to add a couple more days and do Sea World for Jace's birthday instead of doing a party.  We lucked out and Sea World was offering free teacher and preschool fun cards, so we couldn't pass up that great deal.  We were able to spend 2 full days at Sea World, and let me tell you the boys had an absolute blast.  We divided up the shows that we wanted to see between the two days so we weren't feeling rushed and could enjoy all of the other activities that was offered.  It was hot, but we spent lots of time in the huge splash pad area to cool off and rode the water rides several times as well.  We had a great time.  And we beat the crowds, it wasn't crowded one bit.  I had heard that it was the last day of school for the San Antonio schools the first day we were there, so that was nice that we didn't have to deal with all the people.  We stayed in a Marriott hotel across from Sea World which had a great pool, so both evenings after we got back the kids were able to wind down with some pool time.
I bought a backpack leash for Jace, and we attempted to use that while at Sea World since he is a sprinter in public places.  He didn't like being restricted not one bit.  Ha!!  Traveling with little people is never easy, it's a lot of work but I think it was worth it.  We all had a fun time!

Picture overload of our two days at Sea World...
